ORNARIS AWARD
6th ORNARIS AWARD - August 2025
The ORNARIS AWARD was presented for the 6th time on August 10, 2025. The jury, comprised of Yvonne Schreier (visual merchandiser & interior designer, owner of ys raumgestaltung), Erich Geisser (CEO of Changemaker AG), and Silja Cammarata (editor at Etzel Verlag), was particularly impressed by these three exhibitors:
3rd Place: Be Home Europe SA
The Be Home Europe SA exhibition stand impressed with its clear product presentation within a large product range. The stand design combined aesthetics with a logical structure and divided the exhibition space into individual themed islands, each designed to be buyer-friendly in terms of both design and merchandising. Clearly visible product signage facilitated orientation. The large stand space was optimally utilized, appearing open, inviting, and visitor-friendly. The varied and atmospheric product presentation was complemented by proactive, friendly customer contact.
2nd Place: Stiftung intact
The exhibition stand of Stiftung inatct was small but unique, making optimal use of the design space from wall to floor. With a graphically clear design in a striking graffiti style, it attracted attention. The products blended harmoniously with the graphic design and set eye-catching accents without being overpowered. Stylistically bold, different, and striking, the product presentation nevertheless remained simple and easy to understand. The appearance was supported by active, friendly staff and a precisely crafted and professionally executed stand construction.
1st Place 1st Place: Lili Pepper
The exhibition stand of Lili Pepper was convincing both in terms of concept and content and functioned as a whole. It authentically reflected the brand and its products and presented itself with a harmonious overall image – from the color scheme and lighting to the product presentation. The warm, inviting, and homey atmosphere seemed to be seamlessly integrated. The products were clearly divided into product groups, yet were still presented as a unified whole. New products were in the front row and were highlighted with focus. The loving, detailed overall presentation was rounded off by a friendly, warm, and attentive team.

5th ORNARIS AWARD - January 2025
The ORNARIS AWARD was presented for the 5th time on January 12, 2025. The jury, consisting of Annette Bernath (Head of Home & Lifestyle at Brack Alltron), Felix Wittmer (retail host and managing director of a concept store), and jury leader Lilia Glanzmann (Head of BA Textile Design at HSLU), were particularly impressed by these three exhibitors:
Small but perfectly formed: Third place demonstrates how simplicity can achieve so much. The stand of "Berg & Kraft" impresses with its minimalist materials and clear color scheme of black and wood, which supports the product presentation. Highlights from the product range are placed on the pedestal as accents. The handwritten information on chalkboards is also beautiful, as is the matching outfit. This consistently authentic presentation is convincing.
«sf Retail» takes second place with its eye-catching product presentation and coherent cross- and upselling concept. The various brands are grouped together in a single space, cleverly zoned by varying depths, supported by large-format posters that guide the eye. The merchandise displays are also carefully designed and implemented, right down to the appropriate lighting. The storage space, hidden within the furniture, is also cleverly integrated. This creates a striking, professional, and harmonious stand design.
In first place, "Pink Stories" impressed with its fresh and striking presentation. The sales area is cleverly divided and utilized optimally. The functional merchandise displays are eye-catching and are part of the coherent storytelling, which is convincing from the name to the product range and even the outfits. The CI is brought to life, recognizable at first glance, and supports the focus on the products.
4th ORNARIS AWARD - August 2024
The ORNARIS AWARD was presented for the fourth time on August 18, 2024.
The jury, comprised of Hansruedi Hofer (magazines "Raum & Wohnen" and "Maisons et Ambiances"), visual merchandise expert Benjamin Wolf, and jury chair Lilia Glanzmann (Head of BA Textile Design at HSLU), praised the consistently high quality of the presentations. Three exhibitors were particularly impressive:
First prize went to "Frohstoff" with a balanced presentation of authenticity, creativity, and precision. The stand impressed with its successful blend of staging, inspiration, and interaction. The well-thought-out lighting, including an illuminated logo, as well as the emotional appeal and differentiation through buyer interaction, also contributed to the successful placement.
Second place went to "Hoff-Interieur": The clever arrangement of thematic product islands, as well as the successful use of materials and harmonious color schemes for the different worlds, impressed with attention to detail and a successful mix of guidance and discovery.
Third place went to "Mare Di Maria," whose subtle sensitivity was reflected in the implementation. Her pointedly used illustrations were convincing: She answered customer questions about new products or production locations in a playful, friendly, and striking manner as part of the stand design. An authentic presentation with a fine sense of color as the basis for a sea of colorful ideas.
3rd ORNARIS AWARD - January 2024
The "ORNARIS AWARD" was presented for the third time. The jury, consisting of Annette Bernath (Head of the Household and Living Business Unit at Brack), visual merchandise expert Benjamin Wolf, and jury leader Lilia Glanzmann, thanked all exhibitors for the consistently high quality of their presentations. The following three stands were particularly impressive:
First prize went to "Lumières des Alpes." The jury praised the harmonious atmosphere of the stand, created by a balanced presentation of creativity and precision. This created a warm evening ambiance that matched the lighting range.
Second place went to Fidea Design GmbH for an appealing product presentation with a well-thought-out cross- and upselling concept. The clear message of the presentation invited visitors to enter the space, supported by fresh flowers and real potted plants.
Kaptus nature took third place. The space was cleverly divided, and the simple corporate identity with its charming color gradient offered opportunities to integrate the products into different contexts and worlds.
2nd ORNARIS AWARD - August 2023
For the second time, the AWARD was presented to exhibitors with outstanding product presentation. The jury, led by Martina Unternährer, placed particular emphasis on the holistic appearance of the presented products.
This year, "Lavabo Lavabelle," a long-time ORNARIS exhibitor from Biel, took first place: "In a very small space, the makers showcase the ceramics theme with appealing cross-selling offers, while simultaneously offering shoppers inspiration for their own point of sale."
Second place went to "Schneider Korbwaren". They showcased their new products in an attractively staged area with a wide variety of inspiring displays, supported by attentive and discreet staff.
Finally, Florence Morgenstern impressed in third place with "YOOMEE": Her booth presented the diverse product range precisely and clearly in the Marrakesh sunshine, stimulating yet adaptable for the company's own sales area.
1st ORNARIS AWARD - February 2023
The "ORNARIS AWARD," with which the trade fair management honors the best product presentations, was presented for the first time at ORNARIS in February 2023.
The four-member jury, consisting of Martina Unternährer, Loraine Berthold, Daniela Iff, and Michel Hueter, visited and assessed all the booths and presentations over a day. "We discussed the overall appearance, the presentation of the individual products, and the highlighting of new products and bestsellers," says Michel Hueter, founder of the agency "Enabling.Design.Collaborations." The jury rated the quality of the exhibitors as very positive. "The exhibitors demonstrated great skill in staging the products and impressed with creativity rather than elaborate stand designs," says Martina Unternährer.
The following three stands, of varying sizes, were particularly impressive: First prize went to Somea Distribution GmbH, which presented soaps from all over the world. The jury praised the coherent overall concept. "The stand design gently emphasized the natural product range and made it tangible at the stand itself. The visual communication was convincing in its simplicity and clarity and made customers want to buy the products for their own customers."
Second place went to Obo: Even with a small budget, Felix Doll built a stand that clearly conveyed the brand image, communicated the origin of the products, and captured the attention of visitors with simple means."
Finally, bronze goes to «Papedis» in the "Paper Planet" category: "A trade fair stand that impressed with clear themes, simple visitor navigation, and clearly communicated the product range with visual elements."
The jury's conclusion: Exhibitors must put themselves in the shoes of buyers and their customers in order to clearly emphasize their unique selling points. "The ORNARIS AWARD has shown that the communication competence of the product range and its advantages is not always a question of budget."
